Peggy Lynne's Story
Ordway Colorado is a location I had never heard of until I read an ad in the Denver Post in 1979 for horse property...cheap compared to the Denver area.
I moved here because the cost of living is very reasonable and fell in love with the small town unity and charm. It made up for the culture shock of no major grocery stores or EVEN a Wal Mart for close to 30 miles.
I enjoy being very active in my community volunteering on several boards. This paid off ...Expand for more
in name recognition when God led me to run for the County Treasurer position. This is a position I have enjoyed since 1991.
I enjoy the rural life with my horses, dog and cats. Reading and cooking are both a relaxation and hobby.
As I get older (or is that more mature?) I realize the simple things in life are truly the best.
I would love to hear other class mates stories, where they live and what they are doing.
